Rice continues to attract attention from some of England's biggest clubs after another impressive campaign in a difficult season domestically for the Hammers.
The 24-year-old England international has led West Ham into the last four of the Europa Conference League this season, following on from last season's Europa League semi-final berth.
Rice's contract with the Hammers expires next summer but the London Stadium outfit hold the option to extend it by a further year.
West Ham value Rice in excess of £100m but Moyes does not expect the in-demand midfielder to hang around for long.
“We honestly hope he stays,” said Moyes.
“We’d love for him to be a West Ham player but we are aware that might not be the case at the end of the season.
“So that’s one of the scenarios around planning. There are plans that we have Dec here but we’re also fully aware there is a good chance we won’t have him.”
Rice has made 45 appearances in all competitions for West Ham this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
