Sterling Open To Manchester City Exit

Raheem Sterling has revealed that he could exit Manchester City in order to get more playing time.

Sterling has seen his game time limited at the Etihad Stadium following the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

The England international in an interview with FT Business of Sport US Summit on Thursday evening said he's open to transfer abroad.

“If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else [for more game time], I would be open to it at this moment in time.

“As I said, football is the most important thing to me – challenges that I have set myself from a young age and dreams as well, to play abroad.

The Citizens currently sit third in the league, two points behind Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola's City are still among the favourites to win the Champions League after losing to Chelsea in the final last season.

Sterling who has won three Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, has featured seven times in the top-flight this season, making just two starts.

Manchester City will be hosting Burnley on Saturday in their next Premier League game before playing Champions League fixtures against Club Brugge and Paris Saint Germain.
