Rudiger, Philips And Aubameyang Tipped To Kick-Start Newcastle Revolution

Premier League stars Kalvin Philips, Antonio Rudiger and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been tipped to move to Newcastle United next summer.

Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent were trying to name players who could be poached by Newcastle in an attempt to start competing at the very top level.

The new era was ushered in on Thursday when Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) paid a mammoth £305 million to take over the Tyne and Wear club ending the 14-year ownership of Mike Ashley.

The Magpies are expected to return to the top of English football in the near future due to the investment plans of their new owners and many big names have all been linked with the club.

Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe have been the usual names being linked with the club but Goldstein and Bent have named more realistic potential signings for Newcastle.

“Ward-Prowse is the type of player they could go for,” Goldstein said.

“I think [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang could be another player,” he added. “Rudiger wants what? 400 grand a week?” “And he’s on a free,” Bent said.

“Right Chelsea aren’t going to pay that, perfect,” Goldstein replied.

The pair then discussed two midfielders who are impressing on an international level, and may be keen on a new challenge.

“Kalvin Phillips, I know he said recently that he’s never going to leave Leeds United but what a great opportunity,” Goldstein said.

“I’ve also written down [Thomas] Soucek, because I can’t see Declan Rice leaving West Ham [for Newcastle], I just think he wants to stay in London.”
