The former Manchester City manager is at the moment enjoying a successful stint with Azzurri as he guided the team to Euro 2020 triumph.
Mancini believes coaching at club level ‘is a fun and competitive championship’, as he discussed 'seven or eight teams that will fight for the top’.
"Coaching a club? I miss everyday life a little," Mancini admitted. "When you play a lot with the national team, as in recent months, you miss it less.
"But when five months have to pass to get back on the pitch, it’s more difficult, like November to March is long, or March to June.
"After the European Championship, it seems like the UEFA Nations League doesn’t count, but they should have played months ago.
"The best four in Europe got there."
Despite the impressive displays by Fabian Ruiz and Brahim Diaz, Spain boss Luis Enrique has not included them in the Spanish squad though Spain are without Gerard Moreno and Alvaro Morata in the upcoming game yet Mancini insists La Roja are stiil a formidable side.
"They have some injuries, but they are strong, they play well, they have a great coach and many young players," he said.
"Sometimes they struggle to close the games they play, maybe they lack a goalscorer like they had years ago, players like [David] Villa, [Fernando] Torres, but they are strong."
Mancini has managed clubs like Fiorentina, Lazio, Inter Milan, Manchester City among others.
