Conte Defends Pochettino After Draw At Club Brugge

Former Inter Milan manager Antonio has rallied support behind Paris Saint-Germain trainer Mauricio Pochettino after his side shared spoils with Club Brugge.

The French giants received huge criticism for their performance in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Club Brugge.

PSG broke the deadlock in the 15th minute through Ander Herrera's strike but saw his goal cancelled out by Hans Vanaken's equaliser.

PSG with a fearsome attacking trio of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe failed to make an impact in the game.

The disappointing result from the Parisians has led to Pochettino receiving lot of criticisms from some section of the PSG fans.

But Conte believes the former Tottenham Hotspur gaffer should not be blamed for the poor performance against Club Brugge.

"To find the balance at PSG is not simple, but not only for Pochettino, it would be difficult for anyone."

Conte is currently without a club after leading Inter Milan to a first Serie A title in 12-years.

The Italian trainer nearly replaced Jose Mourinho at Spurs but talks with the club's hierarchy stalled in the dying stage.

Messi had his full PSG debut since joining the side on a free against from Barcelona but the Argentine wizard was not able to make his presence felt.

PSG will now turn their attention to their next French Ligue 1 fixture against Lyon on Sunday.

The Parc des Princes club have won all their first five league games and will look to extend the winning streak over the weekend.
