Sancho says he cannot believe he is now playing for one of the biggest and most storied clubs in the world.
The Englishman established himself as one of the best players during his time in Germany, having been producing stupendous statistical numbers.
His meteoric rise to prominence forced many clubs to enquire about the possibility of signing him. Manchester United together with other Premier League rivals were some of the teams chasing to secure the services of Sancho.
The Red Devils eventually landed their top target after almost a year of trying to lure him from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, who says he is happy to be playing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, has since made his debut for the Manchester-based club and reveals his hopes in his first season at Old Trafford.
“I haven’t stopped smiling. I’m just happy to be here and be part of the Red Devils and the team. Especially when I made my debut – the lads have been very good with me and made it easier,” he told UMM.
“I’m going to keep playing my game. I’m not going to change what I’ve been doing over in Germany. I’ve just got to bring it here and hopefully I can show the fans what I can deliver. There’s going to be a crazy link-up when Marcus gets back. Obviously I’ve seen a bit of Mason recently in training – he’s crazy.
“We’re still getting to know each other, obviously movements and things like that, getting our understanding, but it’s going to be crazy all three of us on the pitch.
“I would say so (on Euro 2020 being the best five weeks of his life). It was a big stage for me – my first major tournament with my national team.
“But also one of my biggest downs, obviously missing the penalties and receiving the racial abuse. But the team are fantastic.
“The month we were there, it was a great feeling playing in front of our home crowd and the mandem supporting.”
