Arnautovic Discloses Bologna's Season Target

New Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic has insisted that the club's main aim for the season is to do well.

The former West Ham forward disclosed that Bologna are working to break into the top 10’ in Serie A and thanked the city for a ‘fantastic’ welcome.

“The welcome in the city was fantastic,” Arnautovic told Laola1. “I was extremely surprised and I have often thanked the fans for it.

“I like the project right away. Then, I wanted to get close to my family again, since they couldn’t come to China.

“Being apart for too long was impossible. Now, we all live together and therefore everything is easier.

“I thank Shanghai, but it was nice to come back close to home. I wanted to go back to playing in a high-level league and Bologna did everything to get me.

“We want to break into the top 10 of the championship, we are working towards this target.”

After two years in China with Shanghai Port, Arnautovic has now returned to Europe and admitted he is happy to be back.

The Austria forward scored on his debut for Bologna in a 3-2 win over Salernitana, thanking the fans once again.

Arnautovic featured three times for Austria in the Euro 2020, scoring just one goal for the side.

The controversial attacker became the talk of town in his days at West Ham United when he forced his move away from the London Stadium to China.

Arnautovic will hope to hit the back of the net again when Rossoblu play Hellas Verona in their next Serie A fixture.
