Kane Available To Face Man City, Confirms Espirito Santo

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that striker Harry Kane will be available to face Manchester City in their Premier League opener on Sunday.

Santo refused to blame Kane for his recent antics to force a move away from North London but insists he will be available when Spurs entertain the champions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Kane failed to report to training on his due date and many media outlets suggested that it was a theatrical ploy to force his way out of the club to join the Citizens.

The England international debunked the news with a press release via his various social media platforms and reported to training last Saturday.

Santo was asked if Kane will be involved against Pep Guardiola’s men, a team looking to poach him this summer.

The Portuguese coach quickly hinted that the 28-year-old will be in action for their opening game of the season.

"All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it's up to us to decide,” the former Wolverhampton boss told Sky Sports News.

Santo also refused to blame Kane for purportedly going AWOL in an attempt to leave the club.

"First of all we have to speak," Nuno said. "This is going to happen today, and after that we hope to solve all the situations.

"It's not about that (Kane's late return), it's about what we have to do to solve the situation - this is important.

"We have to solve it together, everybody involved has to solve it together - speaking, having a nice conversation and putting our opinions, but everybody together."
