Kane To Return To Spurs Training On Saturday As He Denies Going AWOL

Harry Kane has debunked reports that he has deliberately skipped training and will take his place among the Tottenham Hotspurs playing squad on Saturday.

Kane was reportedly supposed to join Spurs training on Monday but has not yet showed up until now.

The England captain is holding out on a move to Manchester City, having already underlined his intentions to seek a fresh challenge away from North London.

Kane has taken to social media to defend his credibility and says he will not do anything to destroy the relationship he has with the club’s fans.

"It's almost 10 years since I made my Spurs debut. For every one of those years, you - the fans - have shown me total support and love," he said.

"That's why it hurts to read some of the comments that have been made this week, questioning my professionalism.

"While I won't go into the specifics of the situation, I want to clarify that I would never, and have never, refused to train. I will be returning o the club tomorrow, as planned.

"I wouldn't do anything to jeopardise the relationship I have with the fans who have given me such unwavering support during my time with the club.

"This has always been the case as it is today."

Kane won the Premier League’s golden boot with 23 goals last season.
