Wijnaldum has joined the Parisians on a free transfer after his contract at Liverpool expired in the summer and was formally presented as a PSG player on Thursday. He will wear the number 18 jersey.
The Dutch international battled Pogba on several occasions during clashes between Liverpool and Manchester United in the Premier League and knows about the talent the Frenchman possesses.
Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires next summer and with a new deal yet to be agreed, the 28-year-old could walk away for free in a year’s time.
PSG have been touted as one of the possible destinations for the World Cup winner were he to depart Old Trafford.
“I would love to have Pogba with us,” Wijnaldum told RMC Sport. “He’s fantastic. I have played against him several times – what a player!
“If you ask any player from another team if he would like Pogba to join him, everyone will say yes because he is an extraordinary player, full of qualities.
"He has it all, one of the best midfielders in the world.”
PSG have responded to missing out on the Ligue 1 title and Champions League trophy last season by making some big name signings this term.
In addition to Wijnaldum, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have also secured the signatures of Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, who won the best player award at EURO 2020, and former Real Madrid stalwart Sergio Ramos.
