Liverpool Keen On Youri Tielemans Signing

Liverpool Keen On Youri Tielemans Signing

Liverpool are close to signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester City.

The Belgian player is expected to make a decision on his future at the King Power Stadium after his exploit in the Euro 2020.

Following the exit of Giorgino Wijnaldum to PSG, the Reds are still in search for his replacement, considering Tielemans as the perfect option according to Voetbal24.

The former AS Monaco played a tremendous role for Leicester City when the side beat Chelsea to win the FA Cup, scoring the only goal of the game in the final.

Despite Liverpool monitoring the situation of Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid, Tielemans still remains the prime target for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Liverpool after failing to defend their Premier League title last season, occupying the third position, will now look to build a team to compete for the ultimate and a move for Tielemans could be a plus for the Anfield club.

With Tielemans, a move to Liverpool would be a dream come true for the 24-year-old who has spent just two-years in the Premier League.

Tielemans after joing Leicester City from AS Monaco in 2019 for a fee of £32 million has lived up to expectations, becoming fans favourite for his splendid performances.

Leicester nearly booked their ticket for Champions League football but missed out in the dying stage of last season as they will feature in the Europa League this season.

And with Brendan Rodgers dreaming of forming a formidable side to compete in Europe and also claim a Champions League football spot this time around, a deal for Tielemans to Liverpool could be cancelled.

According to transfer expert and a broadcaster, Fabrizio Romano, Tielemans would not cost anything less than €50-60 million for clubs looking to secure the services of the midfielder.

Tielemans amassed for himself 6 goals with four assists in thirty-eight Premier League games last term for Leicester City.
