Ronaldo’s future in Italy has been the subject of much scrutiny due to Juventus’ shocking exit from the Champions League in the hands of FC Porto.
Many have suggested that the 36-year-old does not have the requisite firepower to continue at the Allianz Stadium and Juventus are willing to offload Ronaldo for only €25 millions, per media reports.
Zidane has hinted that Real Madrid will try and re-sign Ronaldo from Juventus this summer.
"Rumours are true? Yes, it could be. We know Cristiano, we know what he has done for Real Madrid, but now he is a Juve player, he is playing with another team. We'll see what his future will be,” Zidane said ahead of Real Madrid’s second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Serie A side Atalanta.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 for a reported fee around €94 million.
Ronaldo etched his name in the annals of Real Madrid’s history by winning 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
He also became Los Blancos’ all-time record scorer, hitting a staggering 450 goals in 438 appearances across all competitions.
Ronaldo left Real Madrid for the Bianconeri in the summer of 2018 and the Spanish club have not hit its known heights since.
