Havertz is enduring an abysmal debut season in England but his former Leverkusen team-mate believes the Germany international has what it takes to silence his critics.
The 21-year-old joined the Blues in a reported £72million deal from Bayer Leverkusen before the beginning of this campaign
Having been dubbed a ‘generational talent’ by the German media, Havertz is finding it hard to live up to the billing in the Premier League.
Havertz has scored five goals and provided only five assists in his first 26 appearances in all competitions, however, only one of the goals has been scored in the Premier League.
His meager return so far at Stamford Bridge has made people to question if the midfielder is worth such amount and hype, but Tah believes Havertz will come good very soon.
“I've been watching the Chelsea games regularly since then (the move),” Tah told Sport 1.
“It’s super interesting because Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger also play there. I know what qualities Kai has.
“The game there is different than in Germany. There is a lot of talk in such phases: He has to do this and that because he has cost so and so much.
“But that’s nonsense. Give the boy time; then he will show his enormous qualities at Chelsea too. Kai will convince all the critics over there.”
