Pioli has insisted that the Rossoneri worked hard to be in Europe and they intend to stay where he thinks they belong.
AC Milan have started the 2020/2021 season on a high, having already played three preliminary rounds in the competition.
The Milanese-club have also won all of their opening four matches in Serie A, sitting on top of the league table with 12 points.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of AC Milan’s visit to Glasgow to face Neil Lennon’s men on Thursday, the Italian coach said: “We worked hard to get back into Europe and now we want to stay there.”
“The Europa League is an important competition, we have a very balanced and competitive group, so we are eager to start strong.
“It’s natural that there are high expectations around us, and that’s only right, as we are wearing a prestigious jersey of a club that is accustomed to winning.
“It’s a privilege for us to have this kind of pressure, as it means we are doing well and there are many more tests we must pass.”
“Milan always play to win, knowing that it’ll be difficult every single time. We have the quality to take home the points and the more we sacrifice ourselves for the team, the more likely we’ll get a result.”
