The Foxes have been drawn against Braga, AEK Athens and Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League group stage.
Having finished fifth on the Premier League table last season, the Foxes have brightly started the 2020/2021 season after gaining nine points from their opening three league matches.
Reacting to Leicester City’s Europa League draw, Rodgers revealed he is excited and insists their primary objective is to qualify from the group stages.
"We watched the draw, and it’s exciting," said the former Liverpool and Celtic boss in his press conference ahead of Leicester City’s game against West Ham United on Sunday.
"It’s the work we put in last year and we get the rewards for that, and we can’t wait to get started in the competition.
“The first objective is qualification, if you can finish top then great, but qualification out of the group is the main concern.”
Adrien Silva has been linked with a move to Serie A to join Sampdoria and Rodgers admits the Portugal international could leave the King Power Stadium before the window closes.
“There’s a possibility of Adrien going out," he said. "He’s been great and he understands where his position is at the club”
