Gary Neville Unhappy With Man United’s Inability To Sign Players

England icon Gary Neville is unhappy with Manchester United’s inability to land their targets in this summer’s transfer window.

Manchester United have only signed Donny Van de Beek from Ajax Amsterdam so far and Neville has slammed the English side for being dormant in the transfer market.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team need to be bolstered before the beginning of the 2020/2021 season but United, unlike their rivals, are yet to make a statement in the transfer market.

The Red Devils are yearning to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jadon Sancho but the Bundesliga side are unwilling to take any amount lesser than what they are asking for.

Neville is unhappy with the current development of Manchester United in the transfer market, citing an example with Chelsea and Manchester City who have added new players to their ranks.

“Like everyone else they had three months off because of coronavirus, so I don’t think it should be the case they didn’t have the resource or time to get things done,” talkSPORT quoted the Manchester United legend.

“Chelsea got their business done, [Manchester] City have got three or four pieces done. I don’t think timing’s the issue.

“It’s just a thing with United that every time they go for a player in the last four, five, six years it feels they are a little bit desperate.

“They think they can hang on but they always pay it [the asking price] in the end.

“That’s sometimes where I think you can take control, give a hard deadline and say “we’re moving away from this deal."
