Inter Milan Sign Kolarov From AS Roma

Inter Milan have announced the signing of defender Aleksandar Kolarov from Serie A rivals AS Roma on a one-year deal.

The Serbia international becomes Antonio Conte latest summer signing after making Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Chile forward Alexis Sanchez’s deals permanent coupled with securing the services of Greek defender Georgios Vagiannidis and Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid.

Inter Milan took to their club’s official website to announce the signing of the 34-year-old .

A statement read: “Aleksandar Kolarov is officially an Inter player. The Serb joins on a permanent deal from Roma.

“From the left full-back position, his game is one of motivation and discipline. And an air of seriousness that Aleksandar has always carried, at the cost of coming off a little surly.

“That he is not, he is simply Kolarov: a lover of the football, conscious of his own ability and with a desire, even at 35 years of age, to add pages to a story, which has seen him become captain of Serbia, of which he is very proud.”

Kolarov had been on the books of AS Roma since he joined the Giallorossi from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

The former Lazio and FK Cukaricki man played 132 times in all competitions for the Rome-based club, scoring 19 goals and providing 20 assists, but could not win any silverware despite his three-year stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
