Current Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman is expected to take charge of Barcelona, who are in search of a new gaffer after they sacked Quique Setien on Monday.
Wenger has not managed another club since ending a 22-year stay at Arsenal in the summer of 2018 and the Frenchman in currently FIFA’s chief of global football development.
Quizzed about rumors regarding a potential takeover of the Dutch national team, the 70-year-old told beIN Sport: "I believe there were some reports saying that I offered my availability to take the job, but I am not available."
"I work at FIFA and I work very hard and I didn't speak to anybody. I don't know where that news came from."
Koeman’s contract with the Dutch national team does not end until after the 2022 FIFA World Cup but the former Southampton and Everton manager is prepared to walk away and take charge of his dream job.
"Between a massive club like Barcelona and the national team, you understand his decision," Wenger added.
"He is 57-years-old, he has never worked in a massive foreign club and this is the opportunity of his life for him to take the job."
Koeman is likely to be announced as Barcelona’s new manager in the coming days.
