Arteta Hails Arsenal For Beating ‘Two Best Teams In Europe’

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hailed his side following a majestic display in a 2-0 win against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyamg scored twice in each half to send the Gunners to the FA Cup final.

Arteta was full of nothing but praise after he watched his side beat two of the best teams in England in the space of four days.

Speaking to the media after the game, the Spanish coach admitted he was happy with his team’s display against the Citizens.

“Really happy with the last four or five days. We’ve beaten probably the best two teams in Europe,” the 38-year-old said.

“I’m really pleased with the players, their performance and the way they are fighting on the pitch.”

Arteta also spoke on Aubameyang’s future, insisting that there could be a positive decision very soon.

“The way he looks at it when I speak with him, he sounds pretty convinced [to stay].”

“But if he can see the success, and that the direction we are taking it is the right one, I think he’ll be more positive about it, yes.”

Arsenal now switch their attention to the Premier League as they prepare to face Aston Villa in the penultimate game of the season.
