The dethroned Premier League Champions ran riot at the Amex Stadium as Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling’s hat-trick condemned Graham Potter’s men to their 15th defeat of the season.
Guardiola, who was speaking with Sky Sports after Manchester City’s victory admitted he was pleased with his men’s output at Brighton and insists the Citizens are fired up to end the season well.
“I was pleased with everything tonight - the result and the levels we reached,” the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach said.
