Ribery Considering Fiorentina Future After Home Is Robbed

Franck Ribery is considering his future at Serie A side Fiorentina after his home was robbed while playing for the club away at Parma on Sunday.

Ribery helped Fiorentina defeat Parma 2-1 but returned home to find his house had been raided by some hooligans.

Ribery had several items, including jewellery and bags stolen while he was away.

No one was home when the incident took place as his family currently reside in Munich.

The 37-year-old has taken to Twitter to voice security concerns and has thrown his future in Florence up in the air.

"After this victory against Parma, I came back home. This "home" in Italy, a country in which I decided to pursue my career after so many beautiful years in Munich,” Ribery posted a video of his ransacked home.

"This is what I discovered ... So yes, my wife lost a few bags, some jewellery, but "al Hamdoulillah" it's not essential. What shocks me is the feeling of being naked.

"To have your pants taken down and that feeling, it doesn't pass. I can't accept it! Thank God my wife and my children were safe in Munich, but how can we trust [our surroundings] anymore today?

"How can I/we feel good here today after that? I don't run after the millions (of euros). Thank God we lack for nothing. But, I always run after the ball, because it's my passion.

"But passion or not, my family comes first. And we will take the necessary decisions."

Ribery joined Fiorentina on a free transfer last summer after a 12-year career at German giants Bayern Munich, where he won nine Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League.

Ribery has appeared 15 times in the Serie A this season and the former Olympique Marseille winger has registered three goals thus far.
