Leicester City’s hopes of a top-four finish in the Premier League were dented by Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
First half goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson were enough to send the Foxes back home with their tails between their legs, despite a second-half fight back.
Leicester City are winless in their last four matches in all competitions, and are just a point above Chelsea on the league log.
Despite Leicester’s recent slump, Rodgers believes his men have their destiny in their own hands and has enjoined them to focus on their next game.
“I assume the responsibility for the results. That’s what I’m here to do,” the former Liverpool and Celtic boss told reporters.
“We’re in a strong position. We still have it within our hands to achieve what would be a dream for us.”
