Maguire has established himself as one of the key players under Solskjaer since his big move from Leicester City before the beginning of the 2019-2020 season.
Having forged a solid partnership with Victor Lindelof at the heart of the Premier League outfit’s defense, the 27-year-old has made 41 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions so far this season, and was the match winner in Manchester United’s win against Norwich in the FA Cup quarter-final game over the weekend.
His leadership skills have earned him the captain’s armband following Ashley Young’s departure to Serie A side Inter Milan during the winter transfer window.
Solskjaer believes the former Sheffield United man is getting better with time and has encouraged him to keep improving.
“I think his performances on the pitch say it all. He’s become club captain, he’s a leader and he’s chipping in with goals,” the former Cardiff City and Molde FK boss said on the club’s official website.
“So, I’m very happy with Harry. He’s a big lad and he gets better and better the more he plays. I think we’ll see him improving more and more the games he plays. He’ll get his sharpness from games.”
