Adama Traore Hailed By Ex-Aston Villa Team-Mate

Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore is the fastest man in football and can be very lethal if he improves, according to his former Aston Villa team-mate Carles Gil.

Traore has become a threat to the opposition defenders in the Premier League and is almost unstoppable on his day.

The La Masia product was introduced to English football when he signed for the Villans in 2015, before joining Middlesbrough a year later.

Traore has now established himself as one of the best players in England since he joined the Molineux Stadium outfit from Riverside Stadium in the summer of 2018.

The 24-year-old has formed a deadly partnership with Raul Jimenez and is responsible for Wolves’ forward propulsion with his innate skill and industry.

Traore has been linked with a move to Liverpool due to his rapid rise under Nuno Espirito Santo and was due to represent either Spain or Mali before he missed out through injury.

Gil believes his compatriot is the quickest footballer ever but believes Traore needs to be more productive.

"He is a phenomenon," Gil, who now plays for the New England Revolution, told Stats Perform News.

"You will see nothing similar with his characteristics: powerful, speed… no doubt, he is the quickest in the world.

"I have always talked to friends; I don't know if there has been as quick a player ever. Because we all would know him. It is just insane."

"He had to polish other things. People have helped him and now he is showing that, having those characteristics, he will make differences for sure," said Gil.

"He still needs to improve little things, but he is called upon to make a difference.”
