Bojan has been with Stoke for the past five seasons after joining from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, and he went on to make 85 appearances for the Potters, scoring 16 goals.
Despite having a year to run on his contract at the bet365 Stadium, Bojan and Stoke have reached an agreement to end his stay early.
An impressive start to life in England during his first season at the Potters was cut short by a season-ending knee injury sustained in an FA Cup tie away at Rochdale in January 2015.
Bojan could not recapture his old form upon his recovery and spent time on loan at Mainz 05 and Alaves in 2017 and 2018 before playing a bit-part role last season as Stoke finished in a disappointing 16th position in the Championship.
Stoke released a statement on their official website to wish the player well: "The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Bojan for his efforts over the past five years and wish him every success for the future."
Bojan, who has been capped once by the Spanish national team, was moulded in Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, and he broke into the Spanish giants’ first team in 2007, winning three La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies.
The 28-year-old released a statement after the news was announced on Tuesday, saying: 'Scoring against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal are some of the best memories of my career.
'I'd have liked to be saying goodbye in another way but sometimes you don't get to choose how things work out.'
