Hazard has failed to hit the ground running at his new team and new environment in the pre-season.
Though it's early to rip into the 28-year-old, but with Madrid, splashing the cash this summer will not give room for improvement.
Many have based their criticisms on the weight gained by the Belgian star as it was reported that the pacey winger arrived at the Bernabeu 'out of shape' and 'a stone overweight'.
Real Madrid lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspurs in the Audi Cup at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday and Hazard was the talking point of the game as his errant pass made Marcelo gift Harry Kane the chance to score the only goal of the game after the Brazilian defender tried to keep the ball in play.
The versatile forward is expected to light up the LaLiga as he did in the Premier League with Chelsea but his recent performances for the White Angels continue to leave a doubt with football faithful.
After the game, Spanish sports journalist, Juan Ignacio García-Ochoa of Marca described Hazard’s pre-season with Real as "three anonymous matches" and "isn't that x-factor the fans need to get behind the team.
"Hazard still hasn't found his place in this Real Madrid team.
"He's an extraordinary player who is currently being hampered by the team's overall poor performances. Zidane has put him on the left, and upfront, but he still doesn't affect the side's play regularly.
"He delighted in the match against Bayern Munich but has now had three anonymous matches. Of course he will succeed in Madrid, but for now, he isn't that x-factor the fans need to get behind the team."
