First half goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane saw Liverpool come from behind to secure three points.
The Reds have now won a record 22 consecutive league games at home and are three wins away from their first league title in 30 years.
Speaking to the media after the game, Klopp said he knows the capability of his men, but conceded they were short of confidence.
"I know what the boys are able to do, but I am not the one that is playing, they are,” the former Borussia Dortmund coach told BBC MOTD.
“We have said before, confidence is not something that you get, put in your pocket and keep for the rest of your life. It comes and goes.”

Next up for Liverpool is the crucial second leg of the Champions League round of 16, where they must come from behind against Atletico Madrid in order to keep their European dream alive.
