After having an impressive season with Manchester City, Oleksandr Zinchenko has signed a new contract with the Citizens.
The left fullback’s new and improved deal will keep him at the Etihad stadium until 2024.
Zinchenko played a part in the side’s run to a treble triumph in the 2018/19 season though played just 29 times in all competitions.
But having improved in the less playing time, the former Ufa defender has been rewarded with a new three-year contract by the club.
Zinchenko becomes the second player of the club to extend his stay, following English fullback Kyle Walker signing a new deal until 2024 on Wednesday.
The left back, who was set to leave the Premier League champions at the start of last season having been regarded as a surplus to requirements has proved to be a trusted option for Pep Guardiola at the left back position.
After signing the new deal, Zinchenko was quoted saying;
"It's difficult to express how happy I am to sign this deal," the Ukraine international said.
"This club offers players everything they need to improve and develop, so being here for five more years is an honour.
"This season shows we are built for success. It's been amazing to be involved in such a historic campaign and it's one I'll never forget.
"But I am now completely focused on the coming years and I know more good times are around the corner."
Manchester City recruited Zinchenko from Russian outfit Ufa in 2016 for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £1.7 million as he was loaned to Eredivisie side PSV Ehindoven in the 2016/17 season before returning to England in the 2017/18 season.
