Osimhen Reiterates Love For Napoli Amid TikTok Video Drama

Victor Osimhen has broken his silence concerning the Napoli-produced TikTok videos that mocked his penalty miss against Bologna last week.

The Nigeria striker has seemingly put to bed the hullabaloo that erupted when his own club compared him to a coconut and made light of his miss from the spot.

Osimhen's entourage threatened legal action against Napoli, who later clarified their intentions behind the TikTok videos, although no apologies were offered.

The 24-year-old has responded to his penalty miss with two goals in as many Serie A games since the Bologna match, although he produced muted celebrations thereafter.

He also deleted all things Napoli from his social media pages in the aftermath of the mockery but he insists all is fine in Naples.

Osimhen has delivered a statement of his own, saying on Instagram: “Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me.

"The People of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us.

"The passion of the People of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unwavering as I wear it with pride.

"The accusations against People of Naples are untrue. I have a lot of friends that are Napolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life.

"I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for leading their voices to support and reach out to me. I’m forever grateful.

"Let’s support unity, respect and understanding.

"FORZA NAPOLI SEMPRE.”
