Klopp Accuses Man United Of Always ‘Parking The Bus’ Against Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has accused Manchester United of employing ultra-defensive tactics whenever they meet his side.

The league leaders’ unbeaten start to the season was tested to the limit at Old Trafford on Sunday as Marcus Rashford’s first half goal was only cancelled out by substitute Adam Lallana five minutes to full time.

The result meant Liverpool failed to match Manchester City’s record of 18 straight Premier League victories.

Jurgen Klopp has now failed to win on any of his five visits to Old Trafford as Liverpool manager and the German was less than impressed by his opponents’ approach after the game.

He said: “Whoever said before the game that this game is always built up like a mountain and stuff like that and then we come here and they only have to defend.

“So one day I will really wait for the day when they have to make the game against us and we defend – and let’s see how that is.

“Since I’ve been in England it’s pretty much been like that. We come here put it all together, attitude, tactical defensive shapes.

“Eight players defending, with the quality of Man United, it’s not easy. We expect to play much better than we did today.”

Liverpool, whose lead at the top of the table has been cut to six points, host Tottenham Hotspurs next weekend while Manchester United are away to early relegation candidates Norwich City.
