Messi Debunks Feud With Griezmann

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi reveals there is no squabble between him and fresh face Antoine Griezmann as it has been cited by various news tabloids.

Reports are that Messi fancied the return of former Barcelona player Neymar than the club signing the French striker from Atletico Madrid and that has caused him to have unfriendly relationship with the left-footed player.

After playing his first full minutes for the Blaugrana when they defeated Inter Milan 2-1 at the Camp Nou in the Champions League on Wednesday, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner ruled out having a quarrel with his new team-mate Griezmann.

“We have no problem with Griezmann,” Messi, said after the Nou Camp win.

“Little little by little our relationship is growing.

“The relationship of the whole wardrobe is very good.”

Returning from an injury that has seen him make just two appearances in the LaLiga this season, the 32-year-old admitted he was struggling to end the game, but hopes to regain his stamina as he features more for the side.

“I am happy to be able to play the first 90 minutes of the season.

“I felt tired, but well and wanted to finish the game to see if I start from once.

“For me it is very important to play games. It's how I get ready, because with so many games we can barely train.”

It was Barcelona’s first win after a 0-0 draw with German giants Borussia Dortmund in the opening game at the Signa Iduna Park as they now focus on their next LaLiga fixture against Sevilla on Sunday.

A win over Julen Lopetegui’s side will mean Barcelona will overtake table-toppers Real Madrid by just a point if the White Angels are to slip against second-placed Granada on Saturday.
