“It’s A Nice feeling To Win” - Tuchel Happy After Chelsea Win Over Eagles

“It’s A Nice feeling To Win” - Tuchel Happy After Chelsea Win Over Eagles

Chelsea bounced back after last weekend’s defeat against West Bromwich Albion to beat London rivals Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday and head coach Thomas Tuchel could not hide his delight.

A fulminating start to the London Derby saw the Blues scored twice in the opening ten minutes.

Firstly, it was Kai Havertz who calmly glided the ball home after receiving a pass from Callum Hudson-Odoi inside eight minutes before Christian Pulisic swiftly doubled the visitors’ advantage.

Kurt Zouma rose highest to meet a Mason Mount cross on the 30th minute mark to extend Chelsea’s lead.

Christian Benteke headed home midway through the second half to cut the hosts’ deficit but Tuchel’s men were too powerful as they restored their three-goal cushion through Pulisic on 78 minutes.

“It was very good. We started very well, very aggressive and we had a high percentage of possession. We also had a good switch of play and we had a lot of touches in the box - so a very good performance,” Tuchel said after the game.

"We dropped a little bit after the third goal but we had a good response, especially after the goal we conceded. We created a lot of chances and didn't allow much for them.

"[Kai Havertz] maybe should've scored more, he had more chances. He can still improve his hunger and determination. He has outstanding quality.

“He's not the leader of this team and he doesn't have to be. He had excellent runs and he could've scored more."

"It's still a matter of position on timing and decision making in the box, which will give the boys a lot of confidence to score in away games. We have the feeling we could've scored more but we deserved that and that's a nice feeling for our self-confidence."
