Barcelona have not won the Champions League since their 3-1 triumph against Juventus in 2015.
Vidal has insisted that Barcelona are desperate to send a message to the rest of Europe when they meet Napoli at the Camp Nou on Saturday.
“I can see us lifting the Champions League trophy. We are Barça and so it is our duty to win this competition, and we have the team and the players to do it,” the former Juventus and Bayern Munich midfielder told Barcelona-based news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
“We have to respect Napoli, but we are capable of beating anybody on our day. We’ve to go and look for the game from the very first minute.
“We want to send out a message in this game."
Barcelona will be without Vidal when they face the Partenopei as he is suspended.
