Everton Condemn Moise Kean Lockdown Party

Everton Football Club have condemned Moise Kean after being found flouting lockdown rules amid the outbreak of coronavirus.

Kean posted a video of himself on social media partying at home with friends in a breach of social distancing regulations.

UK government guidelines state that all public gatherings should be avoided to help check the spread of Covid-19.

Kean is likely to face disciplinary action after the Merseyside-based club released a statement labeling the 20-year-old’s actions as ‘completely unacceptable.’

A statement read: "Everton Football Club was appalled to learn of an incident in which a first-team player ignored government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis.

"The club has strongly expressed its disappointment to the player and made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable.

"Everton has regularly stressed the importance of following all the government guidelines - including rules and advice for inside and outside of the home - through a series of official communications to all staff members, including players.

"The amazing people in the NHS deserve the utmost respect for their hard work and sacrifice. The best way to show them respect is by doing everything we can to protect them."

Kean joined Everton on a five-year deal last summer from Serie A champions Juventus after showing glimpses of a good striker in the 2018-2019 season.

However, he has barely made an impact in his first season at the Goodison Park, as he scored just one goal in his first 26 Premier League games for the Toffees before the season was halted due to the virus.
